The aim of the site is to give you an insight to the team and keep you up to date on what we're currently up to.
We are a team based in Selkirk in the Scottish Borders who provide a volunteer rescue service for walkers, climbers and others who enjoy outdoor activities in our area. The team is a registered charity funded through our own activities. The team is on call 24hrs a day, 365 days of the year.
The team is also frequently used by the police for low level searches in difficult terrain. Recent examples of this would include searching dense forest. The team’s mountaineering skills have also been used by the Police to undertake tasks such as retrieving a body from a gorge near Innerleithen, and the odd sheep stuck on a ledge in the St Mary’s Loch area.
